The Board of Directors has recommended 10% stock dividend for the year ended on June 30, 2018. The Company has further informed that a meeting of the Board of Directors will now be held on December 02, 2018 at 5:00 PM to consider, among others, audited financial statements of the Company for the year ended on June 30, 2018, to declare dividend and to take decision regarding holding of 31st AGM as per judgement of the Honorable Court.

The Company has further informed that as per Memo No. - 4174 dated June 28, 2018 of the High Court Division of the Honorable Supreme Court of Bangladesh, the AGM of the Company, scheduled to be held on June 30, 2018 has been postponed.

The Company has further informed that the 31st AGM will be held on June 30, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Factory Premises of the Company, North Patenga, Chattogram. Other information will remain unchanged.

DSE NEWS: The Stock Brokers and Merchant Bankers are requested to abstain from providing loan facilities to purchase security of Eastern Cables Limited with effect from May 21, 2018 as per BSEC Directive No. SEC/CMRRCD/2001-43/169 dated October 01, 2009.

In response to a DSE query on 10.05.2018 regarding the status for pending AGM of the Company for the year ended on June 30, 2017, the Company, among others, has informed that in pursuant to the time extension prayer for holding pending AGM of the Company, the RJSC has extended the time for holding their pending AGM within June 30, 2018 in accordance with section 81(1) of the Companies Act, 1994.
